Olabode Agaja, DO, is a board-certified sports medicine and pediatric sports medicine physician at Ochsner Health who practices in Jefferson and Destrehan, Louisiana. He treats concussions and various sports-related conditions. Dr. Agaja performs osteopathic manipulative sports medicine, diagnostic ultrasound and advanced orthobiologic treatments, such as platelet-rich plasma and prolotherapy.
As head team physician for Dillard University and Southern University of New Orleans, Dr. Agaja provides medical coverage for USA Water Polo, USA Amateur Boxing and high school athletics across the New Orleans region. He also serves as a team physician for USA Gymnastics and as an assistant team physician for the New Orleans Pelicans. Dr. Agaja is the medical director for Pediatric Special Olympics Louisiana, a global faculty adviser for Special Olympics Healthy Athletes and a senior lecturer at the University of Queensland.
He offers his medical expertise as a sideline physician at major events, including the USA Gymnastics Championships, World Aquatic Championships, Pan American Aquatic Championships, UFC, the HBCU Legacy Bowl and the HBCU All-Star Game.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Agaja enjoys traveling and spending time with his family.
