Biography
Dr. Himes is the co-director of the Ochsner Wilson Disease Association Center of Excellence, as well as Ochsner’s Alpha-1 Foundation Clinical Resource Center. He also serves as section head for pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition, as well as medical director of pediatric liver transplantation.
Dr. Himes joined Ochsner in 2019, after more than a decade at one of the nation's largest pediatric liver transplant programs. He was drawn to Ochsner Children’s for the opportunity to develop a comprehensive regional program to care for children with liver disease, which now ranks among the best in the nation.
When Dr. Himes isn’t practicing medicine, he enjoys tinkering with his old trucks, relaxing with his family at the beach or taking advantage of all that New Orleans offers.
