COVID-19 Updated Visitor Policy

Visitors may include adults and children, over the age of 10, and should be limited to two visitors per patient. All children must be accompanied by an adult. All visitors are expected to adhere to hospital policies. Visitors are reminded to be sensitive to the needs of our patients by conducting themselves in a quiet, polite and courteous manner.

ICU
We currently allow two visitors at a time in our ICU.
9:30 a.m. - 10 a.m.
12:30 p.m. - 1 p.m.
4:30 p.m. - 5 p.m.
8 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Emergency Department
We currently allow one visitor per patient in our emergency department.
Psychiatric Unit
We currently allow two visitors at a time in our psychiatry unit.

Lagniappe Gifts and Goodies Gift Shop
The Lagniappe Gifts and Goodies Gift Shop is a well stocked gift shop with all the latest trends and special gifts. We are committed to excellence by offering beautiful merchandise.
The revenue generated by the gift shop is used to support patient related projects throughout the hospital.
The Lagniappe Gifts and Goodies Gift Shop is located on the 1st floor and to the left of The Oyster’s Pearl Cafeteria.
The gift shop is open Tuesday, Thursday and every other Friday from from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. You can also call the gift shop at 985-785-4257.
The gift shop is managed by Donna Palahang, our Volunteer Services Director, and staffed by our Auxiliary volunteers.
We offer free gift wrap and the gift shop will even deliver your gift to a patient's room if you are unable to come to the hospital.

This is the 2nd time I've had to see the ankle specialist due to accidents. I was always welcomed with open arms they also help accommodate anything that can help you be comfortable. Ashleigh Chatelain has been my nurse both time. She is a real joy and a bright light to be around. Turns the most painful days to bearable. She understands your pain and make you feel safe like a mother would making you know she will get down to the bottom of this and help you communicate to the doctor during all your pain so everyone understands. Real big key to helping me. Any questions you have ask; she will have a answer or find it for you. Extremely professional caring nursing staff!!!! I love it

Got my first covid shot here. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Was scheduled and everything was on time no waiting walk in and out in about 25 minutes. That's with a 10 to 15 minute wait after the shot in case of bad reaction.

room nurse and check in staff was great, The MD was unconcerned nor was he briefed on care already give to my child. Was more concerned that my child was unvaxxed then the symptoms he had at the time of visit. My son’s face was bruising and nose bleeding, he claimed he didnt know why and his solution was to just give my son a steroid shot. Which was already given upon arrival. He did not screen the record of what was already done. One of the desk nurses was very rude and made sure I knew that me being allowed in the room with my 18 year old was a privilege. We were sent home with a clearance to return to school, without his Covid results which were later positive.

I used to be afraid to go here before Ochsner took over. Since then, the have improved both the quality of the facilities AND the quality of the healthcare providers. Having it tied into the Ochsner system makes bouncing between hospital and doctors easier. Thumbs up from me!

I had ankle surgery yesterday. From the original consultation, through completion of the surgery, I was treated like family. Dr Seo and his staff are absolutely top notch. They were extremely patient, and answered all of my questions. They made sure I was 100% comfortable with the entire operation. Special thanks to Dr Seo, and thank you Sheeba for getting me those ice packs, you were instrumental in making me feel at ease. Thanks to the entire same day surgery team, I apologize for not knowing all of your names.

Went to the ER at 11:45pm on a Friday after waiting in the Kenner ER for 4.5 hours with no doctor (during which I both threw up and passed out). I knew I needed fluids to combat a kidney infection, and I knew we were only about 15 minutes away. We called ahead, my husband drove me from Kenner, and we were back in a treatment room with an IV going within 5 minutes of walking in the door. The staff were wonderful checking on me, got me the fluids I needed and some anti nausea meds, and then got us out as quickly as possible. Best ER experience I have ever had.
