Dr. Emilio Fabian Corona practices pulmonology and critical care medicine at Ochsner Health, with a particular interest in pulmonary hypertension, pleural disease, interstitial lung disease, advanced ultrasonography and lung cancer diagnostics. He is experienced in right heart catheterizations, bronchoscopy with lavage, endobronchial ultrasound, transbronchial and robotic biopsy, pulmonary function test interpretation, and comprehensive pleural care, including thoracentesis and indwelling pulmonary drainage catheter. Dr. Fabian Corona provides comprehensive care for a range of conditions such as asthma, obstructive lung disease, restrictive lung disease, bronchiectasis, lung fibrosis, sarcoidosis, cystic lung disease, lung cancer, pneumonia, bronchitis, and empyema. After earning his medical degree from Universidad Iberoamericana in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Dr. Fabian Corona completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Trinitas Regional Medical Center, Rutgers-New Jersey School of Medicine, and his Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship at Albany Medical Center in New York. He is board certified in internal medicine with subspecialties in pulmonary disease and critical care medicine and certified in Advanced Critical Care Echocardiography by the National Board of Echocardiography. He is a member of the American Board of Internal Medicine, American College of Physicians, and American College of Chest Physicians. Apart from his medical practice, Dr. Fabian Corona enjoys dancing merengue, bachata, and salsa, and holds a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
