Ochsner Children's Health Center - New Orleans provides a wide range of services for kids. We handle everything from shots to life-saving procedures like heart and lung transplants. Our pediatric specialists use the same resources and research as doctors for adults, so we can offer the latest care for children.

To achieve this, we have over 25 general pediatricians and 40 pediatric specialists who are all skilled in handling health issues that affect kids from birth to their teen years. We provide a full range of pediatric services and ensure the highest quality of care. Plus, we have several neighborhood locations to make our services easily accessible.
We are making healthcare easy. One huge advantage of having a pediatrician at Ochsner is our electronic medical record. Wherever you go in the Ochsner network, your child's medical history goes with you and is accessible by specialists, urgent cares and ERs all across the Gulf South.
We are also making it easier to connect you to your doctor at any time with MyOchsner. You can call or message your doctor, schedule appointments, submit refill requests for medication and schedule preventive health reminders to help you stay on track. MyOchsner also allows you to view your results and connect your family to your records and treatment team.

Schedule an appointment
To schedule an appointment, call 504-842-3900. You may also schedule an appointment through MyOchsner.
We offer same-day appointments, extended hours, lunchtime and Saturday appointments at many of our clinics. We also offer virtual visits. If you are a new patient, your first virtual appointment is at the discretion of the provider. Learn more about virtual visits, here.
Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes early for your appointment. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please make every effort to notify us within a 24-hour advanced notice. If your doctor is unavailable for an urgent problem, please consider allowing Ochsner to book an appointment for you with another provider.
Lab results
You'll get your lab results in the mail. If everything is normal, you should have them within 10 business days. If there's anything unusual, your doctor's office will call you once they get the results. .
Prescription refills
If you need a prescription refill, please call your pharmacy to request it. If your pharmacist has any questions, they will contact Ochsner. Make sure the pharmacy sends your refill request to Ochsner at least three to five working days before you run out of your medication. If we don't get the notice in time, we can't promise your refill will be ready before you use up your current supply.
Radiology and Imaging Center
Our advanced radiology department offers a full range of imaging services, including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds and mammograms. Using the latest technology, our trained radiologists and technologists provide accurate results quickly to support your health needs. Whether you need routine imaging or a specialized diagnostic test, we’re committed to delivering high-quality care in a safe, comfortable setting.

Ochsner On Call
Unless otherwise directed by your doctor or provider, please call Ochsner On Call, our 24/7 nurse care advice line at 1-800-231-5257, for guidance regarding your symptoms. For emergencies, call 911 or visit the nearest emergency room.
Registered nurses at the Ochsner On Call Center can help determine how soon you should be seen and recommend the best care options for your symptoms.
Ochsner also provides:

- Well-baby visits
- Completion of shot records
- School and camp forms

Absolutely loved the experience. The receptionist, the nurse and the doctor were all amazing and very welcoming! The lobby had great space for my children to pace, run, be themselves and interesting places for them to sit. This was very necessary as we drove over an hour to be seen here. I highly recommend Brittani Wild for pediatric neurology.

Dr. Brown and her nurse are the best around. Not only can you tell they really care about their patients but they also care about their families. Since my son has been going there he’s received the best care. He was asking if he could still see her as a patient when he’s in college and beyond. We absolutely love her.

Originally I was 100% set on ginive a 1 star because I had about the worst patient experience today trying to get my 2 kids seen. Rude staff checking in offering little to no help while they prioritized their personal conversations. To staff at the window tell me how packed they are and how I might want to go "get seen somewhere else". Then witnessing the same staff member fitting in a mother with a child with no problem for her, but no room for my kid. BUT I only say all of that to truly highlight and give deserved credit to Dr. JACKSON. as soon as we saw her, I communicated my problems and with out hesitation she took care of everything. Fit both my kids in (one had an appointment, one got sick this morning) and took great care of them. I am truly happy to see there are still really good people still working in this field who still care about their patients. She totally improved the outlook for the rest of our day with her generous and kind attitude. Thank you Dr Jackson
