A swing bed is a hospital-based program that provides skilled nursing and rehabilitation services for patients who no longer need acute hospital care but still need additional recovery time. This program allows patients to transition smoothly from inpatient care to rehabilitation. Ochsner Laird Hospital provides the best in rehabilitative and recuperative care. Our staff of professionals can help you or your family members regain the skills necessary for an independent lifestyle. We work with you to help manage your health once you have been discharged from the hospital.

If you need a prescription refill, please call your pharmacy to request it. If your pharmacist has any questions, they will contact Ochsner. Make sure the pharmacy sends your refill request to Ochsner at least three to five working days before you run out of your medication. If we don't get the notice in time, we can't promise your refill will be ready before you use up your current supply.
