Outpatient services, including imaging, x-ray, endoscopy, cardiopulmonary services and lab are convenient and easily accessible with little or no waiting time with an appointment. The Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, conveniently located on the first floor of the medical office building, offers physical, speech and occupational therapies for adults and children. Our Rehab Center is the only one in the area that offers all three rehabilitation services under one roof.
Inpatient care is comfortable with forty all-private spacious rooms that accommodate visits by family and friends. Our surgical suites have everything that a physician needs in medical staffing and technology. In addition our hospital has a well-equipped intensive care unit (ICU) and a 24/7 emergency department with physicians certified in emergency care.
St. Bernard Parish Hospital has over 100 credentialed physicians and many physicians have offices conveniently located in the medical office building next to the hospital. The medical office building also includes administrative offices.

Our St. Bernard Parish Hospital has a PBX operator on staff Monday- Friday 6a.m. - 7p.m. that answers the phone for the main line, 504-826-9500. After 7p.m., our security team and house supervisors answers this number. We employ a greeter is available Monday-Friday 7a.m. - 5p.m. to assist in the hospital outpatient area. Your record is always available to you to view, download and share in your MyOchsner patient portal account. To obtain copies of the medical record outside of MyOchsner, the patient's written authorization must be signed and dated, and must include the name and address of the individual who is to receive the copies of the record, the information requested and the treatment dates. Our medical records office is also located on the first floor and staff are available to assist with any medical record needs.
Language services are available to patients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by calling 1-833-896-6586. Additionally, your care team may request in-person or virtual interpreter support during a visit for both Limited English Proficiency and Deaf/Hard of Hearing patients.
Patient & Provider Advocacy
The Patient and Provider Advocacy department serves as intermediary for patients on issues like advance directives, HIPAA, and requests (appointments, medication refills, etc.). Patient and Provider Advocacy also supports Ochsner’s compliance with Patient Rights & Responsibilities, provides policy interpretation and advice on institutional practices. St. Bernard Parish Hospital Cafe'
Located on the first floor of the hospital, our cafeteria is open:
- Breakfast : Monday - Friday, 7 a.m. - 10 a.m.
- Lunch: Monday - Friday, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
The vending machines room is located on the first floor of the hospital lobby outside the café and is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
We offer several amenities for patients, families, staff, and visitors.
St. Bernard Parish Hospital offers free Wi-Fi for patients, families, and visitors. Please look for the OHN Guest Wi-Fi when on site.
Our chapel is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is located on the second floor of the hospital.
Visually impaired services
All elevators and many other public areas have braille signage to assist those with visual impairments. We can also provide visitors with an audio recording of patient rights and responsibilities, advanced directives, and the Ochsner mission statement.

Please join us for first "Girl Talk" with pediatric and primary care physician Dr. Pamela Musacchia, OB/GYN Dr. Victoria McHenry and licensed clinical social worker Dr. Heather Kindschy. Our doctors will discuss topics including mental health, preventative care and vaccines and changes to our bodies. We welcome all caretakers and young girls ages 10 to 18. Refreshments will be served.
