A Partner of Ochsner Health System
Since 2014, Ochsner Health and St. Tammany Health System (STHS) have been working together to provide residents of western St. Tammany Parish comprehensive, integrated and innovative care.
Through our long-term strategic partnership with STHS, we are reducing healthcare costs for patients while improving quality and increasing local access to care.
More patients are being treated closer to home, while still having access to the nationally recognized specialists and the depth and breadth of care Ochsner is known for. Our collaborations have also led to increases in patient safety and telemedicine consultations, as well as an increase in transfers from St. Tammany to Ochsner for patients with specialized care needs.
Some of the new and expanded services at STHS that have resulted from our partnership include:
- Neurology, neurosurgery, and stroke care
By sharing best practices, integrating our technology, building a cross-organizational clinical teamwork model and making joint investment in new physicians and programs, we are able to continue to expand patient services and resources in the region with a relentless focus on quality and value.
“Building on our unique strengths, we can deliver far more to the people of western St. Tammany Parish together than we can individually. We believe that collaboration rather than competition will result in the development of better and more innovative care solutions.”
– Warner Thomas, Ochsner Health President and CEO
