MyOchsner is now paperless!
If you were receiving paper bills and have not opted out of paperless billing, you are now automatically enrolled for paperless billing on effective July 1, 2021. You will be notified of new bills through email and the MyOchsner mobile app.
Paperless billing is:
- More secure
Don't forget to update your email to receive MyOchsner notifications about your bill.
To opt out of paperless billing:
- Login to your MyOchsner account
- From your menu, go to the "Billing Summary" page
- Scroll to the bottom of the screen below the account boxes. You will see this statement "If you would like to receive paper statements, you may cancel paperless billing"
- Click "cancel paperless billing" and confirm your selection
COVID-19 Testing Cost
The cash pay price for the COVID-19 test (U0002 and U0003) at Ochsner is $48.10. Please note the state of Louisiana has allocated funding to cover the test for uninsured patients so we anticipate the cost to be covered by the state of Louisiana. If you are insured your cost for testing, and any other services performed at testing visits will be based upon your individual insurance provider.
Please note that some of our patients are receiving a delayed bill for service. Our sincerest apologies for this inconvenience. A portion of our patient statements were delayed due to validation with payors on the patient balance related to your COVID testing and/or treatment. Claims were held longer than the normal time frame to ensure all charges were processed correctly with your payor.
