We are also making it easier to connect you to your doctor at any time with MyOchsner. You can call or message your doctor, schedule appointments, submit refill requests for medication and schedule preventive health reminders to help you stay on track. MyOchsner also allows you to view your results and connect your family to your records and treatment team.

Schedule an appointment
To schedule an appointment, call 228-220-5200. You may also schedule an appointment through MyOchsner.
We offer same-day and next-day appointments. We also offer virtual visits. If you are a new patient, your first virtual appointment is at the discretion of the provider. Learn more about virtual visits.
Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes early for your appointment. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please make every effort to notify us within a 24-hour advanced notice. If your doctor is unavailable for an urgent problem, please consider allowing Ochsner to book an appointment for you with another provider.
Lab results
You'll get your lab results in the mail. If everything is normal, you should have them within 10 business days. If there's anything unusual, your doctor's office will call you once they get the results.
Prescription refills
If you need a prescription refill, please call your pharmacy to request it. If your pharmacist has any questions, they will contact Ochsner. Make sure the pharmacy sends your refill request to Ochsner at least three to five working days before you run out of your medication. If we don't get the notice in time, we can't promise your refill will be ready before you use up your current supply.
Ochsner On Call
Ochsner On Call lets you book appointments and get health advice any time, day or night, all week long. Specially trained nurses are ready to talk about your health concerns, help you decide if you need to go to the emergency room or see a doctor, and suggest ways to take care of yourself. This service is free, and you can reach it by calling 1-800-231-5257 or 504-842-3155.

I’m almost 73, & I’ve NEVER experienced what happened in the Lab this morning. First off, I had an ultrasound & the nurse was extremely polite while doing her job. After my ultrasound, nurse escorted me around to Lab. Nurse told Lab my name, etc. I waited 45 minutes which that’s not what upset me. A Lab tech finally came & got me & apologized for the wait. BUT, it was the ONE LAB TECH who attempted to draw my blood. She couldn’t get it first time, SO she hastily put everything down & said, I gotta take a break.’ She just left me sitting in Lab & left the area. Supervisor & another tech came in & supervisor drew my blood. She was so sweet. I fully understand people have bad days, but you just don’t do what happened to me this morning. IMO, if she worked for the public & pulled something like that, I would have fired her immediately!! When/If I have to go back Lab & that walk off tech even thinks she’s going to stick me, I’ll be yelling NO, NOT EVER AGAIN.

Just left from there bc my 5 year old daughter had a reaction to a vaccine she had gotten a few days ago. Every single person that we came in contact with from the receptionist, security in the waiting room, triage, and nurses and Dr in the back were absolutely amazing. They made my daughter feel more comfortable and took great care of her and were very genuine. Much appreciated!

Me and my wife were traveling through and unfortunately got extremely sick. The staff here immediately took us back to a room, grabbed us warm blankets and were so fast to get I.V’s , scans and more. Everyone here was beyond kind, caring, and thoughtful to our situation. The doctor that does the scans was such a delight and our nurse Rebecca and Kristen were super sweet and tried their hardest to cheer us up just a little bit (it worked). Highly recommend to everyone!!

Jonathan helped me from beginning to the end he's my favorite. Everyone there is polite and helpful. I felt comfortable being there from the front office to doing my workouts also my workouts are done in a pool. So relaxing nothing strenuous. I have also worked out on the machines. They take their time with you to ensure your not over worked. I highly recommend Ochsner.
