We also partner with Ochsner specialists, including athletic trainers, physical therapists, advanced practice providers, nurses and primary care sports medicine physicians to offer the advanced medicine needed to treat complex conditions. Our subspecialties and programs include:

• Ochsner Andrews Sports Medicine Institute. Our sports medicine team utilizes the latest in technology and research to treat players on and off the field. We work with schools, colleges, club organizations and professional sports teams across the region to keep patients active and in the game. Learn more about the Athletic Training Outreach Program.

• Fracture Care Clinic. We have the only clinic in the Greater New Orleans area devoted solely to the treatment and prevention of fractures resulting from osteoporosis.

• Pediatric Orthopedic Program. We offer patients with both congenital and acquired orthopedic conditions convenient access to innovative procedures not available anywhere else in the region.

• Primary Care Sports Medicine. Our primary care sports medicine doctors specialize in treating injuries to the bones, joints and muscles without surgery, including with advanced injection therapies called orthobiologics. We have the only primary care pediatric sports medicine physician in the New Orleans region.

Additionally, Ochsner Imaging Center is the only center in the region that offers low-radiation EOS X-ray technology.

Arm and Shoulder Program. From rotator cuff repair to shoulder replacement surgery to other chronic ailments, our surgeons can help get your arms back in action.

Back and Spine Center. Our nationally ranked program pairs orthopedic and neuroscience specialists to manage and treat your neck and back pain or injury.

Concussion Management Program. With leading-edge computerized neurocognitive assessment, our program is the first in the state to treat and monitor concussions in athletes and patients with traumatic brain injury.

Foot and Ankle Clinic. Our fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeons work with a range of specialists to offer non-surgical and surgical approaches to lower extremity injuries and diseases.

Hand and Upper Extremity Center. We specialize in hand surgery, wrist surgery and microsurgery to treat acute and chronic ailments from your fingers to your elbows.

Hip Care and Replacement. Our team performs total hip replacements, including using the posterior approach (from the back of the hip), anterior approach (from the front of the hip) and superior approach (a minimally invasive approach that uses a single incision and spares the muscles and tendons of the hip). We also use MAKO robotics for hip replacement.

Knee Care and Replacement. Our surgeons are among the most qualified in the region performing robotically assisted surgeries using MAKO and VELYS technologies.

Ochsner also offers outpatient joint replacement surgery.
