Peter Crawford, DNP, MSN, FNP-BC, practices occupational medicine at Ochsner Health iin Central, Louisiana. Peter has expertise in occupational and environmental medicine, offering comprehensive care for various medical needs, including workplace injury, medical surveillance, and employee wellness and workplace injury prevention.

Peter earned his Master of Science in nursing from Northwestern Louisiana University’s Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner Program in Shreveport, Louisiana, in 2003, and his Doctor of Advanced Nursing Practice from the University of South Alabama’s Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner program in Mobile, Alabama, in 2012. He has been board-certified in family practice by the American Nurses Credentialing Center since graduating in 2003. Peter participates in the American College of Nurse Practitioners and the American Nurses Credentialing Center to stay updated on medical advancements.

Peter is dedicated to addressing the medical needs of his patients while understanding individual concerns and goals. He joined Ochsner in his current role in April 2025, after previously practicing hospital medicine at Ochsner from 2011 to 2013. He has over 22 years of occupational medicine practice and over 24 years of practice experience in various areas of medical specialties. Outside of medicine, he enjoys weightlifting, scuba diving and traveling.
