I was in the hospital for 6 days and every one was very nice, very understanding, and really seemed to care! I have been going there for years. I would of rated a 5 star, but a Dr. Cruz had no respect or cared she is a false person. If she would of had a better bed side manner or said she was sorry for upsetting me that would of been good customer service works.
Our Response:
On behalf of Ochsner Health, we are always looking for ways to improve. If you're willing to discuss this in more detail, could you please send us an email at feedback@ochsner.org, including your full name and contact information, so we can further investigate this matter? Thank you.

Most nurses are competent. However, some exhibit rude behavior and a lack of empathy towards patients. One nurse, upon entering my room, immediately misdiagnosed my skin condition, which I am particularly self-conscious about, as psoriasis. Not only was this incorrect, but she also failed to approach the situation with sensitivity and ask pertinent questions before making assumptions. Furthermore, I have been prescribed daily medications that are not being consistently filled, resulting in significant delays in receiving necessary relief. As a leukemia patient with a chest tube inserted, I experience considerable anxiety and pain. Unfortunately, many nurses appear to be uninformed about my condition. Just two days ago, a nurse administered medication and referred to it as "percs," which I knew was incorrect. This raises concerns about whether I received the wrong medications.
Our Response:
On behalf of Ochsner Health, thank you for informing us about your experience. We take these kind of issues very seriously and will investigate this matter immediately. Please reach out to us at feedback@ochsner.org or 504-842-3971 at your earliest convenience. Thank you.

1.) The on call doctor (Dr. Clayton) for GI emergencies also held scheduled appointments that day, which is absurd in my opinion. Because of this and poor patient prioritization, my loved one’s urgent (albeit not emergency) medical procedure was delayed in favor of those appointments. While waiting for the endoscopy, we overheard at least 3 patients be processed and prepped for colonoscopies in the bed next to us. My loved one had been admitted through the emergency room after being transferred from another facility not equipped for endoscopy. My loved one should have been prioritized instead of remaining in discomfort (no sleep, no food, no liquid for over 18 hours). I empathize with those who had scheduled appointments, but there have been multiple instances in the medical field where myself or my loved ones’ appointments were delayed for an emergency. 2.) The nurses and other supporting staff were amazing. Shout out to Ms. Tamie and Ms. Michelle. 3.) I was disappointed in Dr. Clayton’s decorum/bedside manner. She wore a sweatshirt over her scrubs with no visible ID badge. She did not introduce herself to me or the other family visitor. I didn’t recognize her as a doctor. She also seemed in a hurry to get us out of there. I do not care if it was her last case of the day, I expected more professionalism. We’re all just a number.

The care and knowledge is second to none. It's my #1 hospital. The staff has saved my life a few times, and has done wonderful things for my family. I hate that I even have a complaint, but double rooms?!? How? What rainbows and unicorns type of crap is this? I don't care to have a person I don't know, that hasn't sworn an oath, that is not a part of my care team, or authorized health information recipient of mine to know anything about me, as is my right! Even the suggestion to share a room is barbaric. Just wow!
Our Response:

Oschner Medical clinic overall has very courteous staff from start to finish, with the exception of TROULLIER, LINDY B.. she is the rudest medical PA I have ever came across. I have had many visits to this location. I have had this particular PA TROULLIER, LINDY B. this first time and only this time. If she is the only person at the clinic I would take my chances on what ever is ailing me and if it gets to bad and an ER visit would be better. This dr had my blood pressure thru the jroof as well as so mad and upset to the point of it tears.
Our Response:
On behalf of Ochsner Health, we apologize for any issues that occurred during your visit. Providing our patients with friendly, professional and knowledgeable care is our first priority. Please reach out to us at feedback@ochsner.org so that we can look into this.

No one wants to have a colonoscopy done, but the staff made it not so horrible. Everyone from registration to the physicians were all friendly and kind. The nurses were caring but efficient, explaining everything they did along the way. The only thing that could have been better was the before and after procedure room. Beds were lined up with curtains pulled around them, allowing just enough space to walk around the bed. It was claustrophobic feeling, and I could hear everything the other patients were telling the staff. Not good for confidential information that I'm certain some didn't want anyone overhearing. Overall, I definitely recommend this location due to the staff being so great. The nurses I had were the pregnant girl and the little blond who wears her hair up with a headband on. Super sweet nurses, deserving of recognition. I'm sorry I don't recall their names.
