I became a family physician because I love taking care of people through their different stages of life- from infancy to the golden years. I attended the American University of the Caribbean in St. Maarten. I did my family medicine residency in New Jersey, following which I pursued training in HIV and Hepatitis C care in the Bronx, NY. In addition to being boarded in family medicine, I have attained specialist certification from the American Academy of HIV medicine.
I believe that one of the best ways to optimize patient care is by engaging the patient in shared decision making. I strive to educate patients on their current health and what, if anything, they can do to improve their health. I believe that when patients are involved in the decision making they are more likely to make positive health decisions.
