Cynthia Luther, NP, practices family medicine with a focus in bone health and the treatment of osteoporosis at Ochsner Health. A graduate of Matty Hersee School of Nursing, Ms. Luther earned her BSN and MSN degrees at the University of Southern Mississippi and completed Post Master's preparation as an adult gerontology nurse practitioner and a family nurse practitioner at the University of Southern Mississippi. She earned a PhD in nursing at the University of Alabama, Birmingham. She is certified as a clinical densitometrist by the International Society for Clinical Densitometry. She has completed Bone Fit and Fracture Liaison programs of the Bone Health and Osteoporosis Foundation. She is an active participant in the Mississippi Nurses Association and Mississippi Association of Nurse Practitioners. She was inducted as a fellow in the American Association of Nurse Practitioners in 2012. Ms. Luther's patient-centered approach emphasizes compassionate care and individualized treatment. She is dedicated to understanding individual concerns and goals. Outside medicine, she enjoys time with her family and her flower gardens. She holds to a personal philosophy of treating others as she would want her family to be treated.
