Michael McLarty, MD

I'm a nurse who works for Ochsner in Louisiana, but I live in Gulfport. I needed a physician who could see me for an acute illness, that was a bit serious, that I put off treatment for, hoping it would get better. I ended up hospitalized. I didn't have a primary physician since I haven't lived here long, but I'm very happy I chose Dr McLarty. My history is a bit complicated, but I felt he was extremely thorough in ordering labs and asking about tests that were appropriate for me. I've been a nurse since 1994 and I feel extremely confindent in his analysis of what I need and I liked that he called me to discuss my lab results and was sensitive to my feelings about my plan of care. Believe me when I say health care plans aren't written in stone. Find a provider you feel comfortable with. Dr McClarty spent a good amount of time with me and we clicked, so I'm happy about that.

Absolutely love the care dr. Mclarty gives to patients. I was on a pretty ugly med and he told me the pros and cons I was very hard headed about weaning off them he knew it lol. But after a long talk with my hubs and then a small talk to with another doctor I came to the conclusion mclarty will be my pcp . He even helped me find a psych/therapist to help me with my anxiety. Amazing doc. Hopefully he never leaves.

If your looking for a Doctor that takes the time to get to know you. Then Dr McLarty is the Doctor for you. I had my first appointment today. He was awesome. We went through my history. Also he put my mind at ease. Ive been dealing with a lump in my throat. And he assured me its not cancer. Having a doctor that cares is super important. If your wanting a Great experience i highly recommend this Doctor.

Doctor mclarty is very professional and very knowledgeable in all current medication and treatment available. My brother is a veteran with many health problems. He listened to my brother about the on going problems that he has and made suggestion on how to proceed with a plan of care. Great guy and very responsive.

If it had not been for Dr. McLarty my husband my not have survived. He listened to what we had to say and acted professionally. Even if he doesn't have time he makes the time if you have a question or need something filled out. He is a good doctor. I'm glad we found him.
