Eric Ehrensing, MD

Dr. Eric Ehrensing received his medical doctorate from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. He completed an internal medicine residency, followed by fellowships in infectious disease and critical care at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. Dr. Ehrensing is a fellow of both the American College of Physicians and Infectious Disease Society of America. In 2020, he received a Master's Degree in Health Care Management from the T.H. Chan Harvard School of Public Health. He was elected President of the Jefferson Parish Medical Society in 2022.

Very nice doctor, after a toe amputation there was concern about an infection and Dr. Ehrensing came to my podiatrist appointment to talk to me about a course of treatment. He was very knowledgeable and friendly, two traits you want when dealing with that kind of news.

Dr. Eric takes his time. I applaud him so many years ago,getting my immune disorder. Those were times I thought I was slowly dying.. Then Dr. Eric knew my diagnosis,I'm so glad he treats me.

My husband had Dr. Ehrensing after he got an infection in his shoulder that required a pic line. He always explained everything completely and never rushed our visits. He has a wonderful bedside manner. After I had back surgery that required incisions front and back, I got an infection in one of my stomach incisions that required surgery to clean it out. I followed up with Dr. Ehrensing and received the same caring, patient care as my husband. I have recommended him to all my friends who are in need of an infectious disease doctor.
