At Ochsner, we are committed to testing and bringing clinical trials and new therapies to our community.
Testing is safe and simple. Knowledge is power, so know where you stand.
If you are unsure about if or when you should be tested, talk with a provider virtually with Ochsner Anywhere Care.
If you have an upcoming surgery or procedure at Ochsner, you may be referred to one of the pre-procedural testing locations below to prepare your medical team for your upcoming surgery or procedure. Your results will be made available to your provider and to our Infection Control Team. You will receive your test results within 72 hours via the MyChart patient portal or by phone.
If you are experiencing symptoms, testing is available at Ochsner Urgent Care locations. However, if you are not experiencing symptoms testing is not available. Please bring your insurance card and state identification card. You will be required to pay a co-pay based on your insurance. If you do not have insurance, you will have to pay the full price for a COVID-19 test.
Please call your preferred Ochsner Urgent Care location to check availability and reserve your test. There are limited number of tests available per day.
If you are experiencing symptoms, testing is available at Ochsner's community testing locations. If you are not experiencing symptoms, you can still receive a COVID-19 test at one of Ochsner’s community test sites.
Please note that daily testing capacity at our community testing sites is limited, so it is recommended that you arrive early.
There are no out-of-pocket costs for those seeking a test at community testing sites and no one will be turned away based on their insurance status. Please bring your ID and insurance card, if applicable.
Please check the schedule each week for upcoming locations, dates and times. Testing schedules are subject to change due to weather.
You will receive your test results within 72 hours via the MyChart patient portal or by phone. Those who test positive will have the opportunity to participate in Ochsner’s 14-day symptom tracker program designed for COVID-19 patients who do not require hospital care. Participants receive daily text messages to monitor symptoms and can be connected to our 24/7 nurse on-call line for additional support. You may call 1-866-703-7790 or click the button below.
Antibody testing determines whether you had COVID-19 and now have antibodies against the virus. To receive the antibody test, you must have a physician order.
The cost for the antibody test is $50, and this price does not include the cost of any visit copay that would be incurred. Please contact your insurance provider for covered benefits prior to coming in for testing.
You will receive your test results within 24-48 hours via the MyChart patient portal or by phone.
