Beverly McCoy, APRN, FNP-BC, received her family nurse practitioner certification in 1991 and a Masters of Science degree in 1994 from Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona. Beverly McCoy is board certified by the American Nurse Credentialing Center as a family nurse practitioner and has been on staff at Ochsner since 2012. She has been a practicing family nurse practitioner since 1991. Ms. McCoy performs care for patients from age four through geriatric care. She has a special clinical interest in meeting the challenges of caring for patients who have limited resources, caring for patients who speak Spanish and engaging patients as partners in care. Ms. McCoy enjoys traveling, gardening and fishing in her free time. She also does volunteer work at a day shelter for those experiencing homelessness and at her church.
