Dr. Irfan Ahsan, DPM received his medical degree from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine (TUSPM) in Philadelphia, PA in 2013. He went on to complete his internship and residency at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, LA. He graduated his surgical residency in 2016. He has practiced full-time at Ochsner Medical center from 2016-2019. He then practiced in a multi-specialty clinic in Los Angeles from 2019-2021, while his wife completed a medical fellowship. Following this, he returned to his hometown of New Orleans and is working full time once again at Ochsner Medical Center.
Dr. Irfan Ahsan is board certified by The American Board of Podiatric Medicine (ABPM). Dr. Irfan Ahsan specializes in general foot health, diabetic foot risk management, wound care and limb salvage, inpatient podiatric care, and various foot surgeries including amputations, orthopedic/musculoskeletal injuries and deformities involving the foot and ankle, repair of hammertoes and bunions, fracture fixation, soft tissue mass excisions, and many more. He has a special clinical interest in wound care and limb salvage. Dr. Irfan Ahsan is fluent in 4 languages including English, Urdu, Punjabi and Hindi. Dr. Irfan Ahsan enjoys spending time with family, working out and traveling in his free time.
