Biography
Dr. Keith Holmes received his undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University in Shreveport, Louisiana, where he graduated magna cum laude. He then earned his M.D. degree from the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and was presented the Mosby Award for Academic Excellence, an award given to the top three graduating seniors. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Wilford Hall Medical Center at Lackland Airforce Base in San Antonio, Texas, where he was assigned to the 23rd Medical Group (TAC). Dr. Holmes is board certified in Internal Medicine and has been on the staff of Ochsner Health since 1990.

I've been going to Dr. Holmes for many years. He has always been professional, caring, & thorough. I'm in good health for 83 yrs. & all my MDs & NPs have done an excellent job. (Except one several yrs. ago which I "fired" (MD)).
Dr. Holmes always operates with concern for his patients. Unfortunately this is a reoccurring issue for me.
He is very involve, and listen.
Dr. Keith Holmes, is by far the best primary care physician in the region as evidenced by his excellent ability to manage chronic diseases, including diabetes and hypertension with objective markers of efficacy in his patients. I did not think that there could be a better primary care physician for me, because he brings the thoroughness of traditional medical training, a genuine friendliness and full adaptation & thoughtful application of the benefits of modern medicine in a digital age.
