Dr. Bober received his medical degree from the University of Maryland in Baltimore in 1997. He went on to complete his internship and residency at University of Maryland in Baltimore in 2000. He subsequently completed his fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at University of Maryland in 2003. Dr. Bober has received advanced training in Nuclear Cardiology. Dr. Bober is board-certified in cardiovascular diseases and nuclear cardiology and has been on staff at Ochsner since 2003. Dr. Bober is Director of Molecular Imaging and Nuclear Cardiology at Ochsner Health in Louisiana and is a recognized world expert in cardiac Positron Emission Tomography (cardiac PET scans). He has many years of experience designing PET laboratories and radiopharmacies with cyclotron systems. He has published numerous scientific papers on the subject and is active in clinical research using this technology. He has a special clinical interest in determining which patients are best suited for medical therapy versus which patients are best suited for procedures such as coronary stents and/or bypass surgery. Dr. Bober enjoys time with his family, various types of exercise, plant-based food, physics and drumming to the greatest rock band in history, Rush, in his free time.
