Saravanan Thiagarajan, M.D. received his M.B.B.S. Bachelor of Medicine from Vinayaka Mission’s Karaikal Medical College and Hospital, Karaikal, India. He received his Internal Medicine Residency training at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, Chicago, Illinois (also known as Cook County Hospital). His post graduate fellowship training in Rheumatology was completed at the Department of Rheumatology at the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, Ohio where he received the Graduate Medical Trainee Award of Excellence.
