Ochsner Health System is a member of the Research Action for Health Network (REACHnet), a Clinical Data Research Network (CDRN) supported by PCORnet: The National Patient-Centered Clinical Research Network. REACHnet contains clinical data for 1.7 million active patients and over 4 million total patients across southeastern Louisiana and Texas. Ochsner and participating institutions contribute data to REACHnet’s data warehouse for 1) research use cases supported by participating institutions and 2) approved external research projects. Data are held in a standardized format (Common Data Model, CDM) and consist of clinical data from inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department visits.
Ochsner Health is excited to team up with LSU's Pennington Biomedical Research Center for the PROPEL-IT research study. This study gives Ochsner patients the opportunity to join a research study that will test if a digital weight loss program can help Black adults with Type 2 diabetes or prediabetes lose weight and improve their quality of life.
