Dr. John Bolton is a surgical oncologist at Ochsner MD Anderson Cancer Center. He earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University and completed his internship and residency at Charity Hospital. He completed a hepatobiliary and pancreatic fellowship at the Lahey Clinic in Boston, and a surgical oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. He is board certified in general surgery and is a diplomate of the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Bolton's expertise includes gastric, esophageal, liver, biliary and pancreatic cancer surgery, minimally invasive surgery for esophageal cancer, surgical endocrinology (thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal and pancreatic surgery) and cancer research.
