He completed a hepatobiliary and pancreatic fellowship at the Lahey Clinic in Boston, Massachusetts, and a surgical oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. He is board-certified in general surgery and is a diplomate of the American Board of Surgery.
